RANDY Z. WU, PHD
Patent Agent
PhD Biophysics, Univ. of California, San Francisco
AB summa cum laude Chemistry, Harvard University
Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
Randy Wu joined Clark & Elbing in 2009. His work focuses on patent prosecution, primarily in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. Randy’s doctoral research focused on elucidating the role of chromatin in transcriptional regulation. Using a combination of biochemistry, molecular biology and bioinformatics, Randy investigated the role of small repetitive sequence motifs in the positioning of promoter nucleosomes. He also developed a novel motif-finding algorithm for the discovery of highly degenerate regulatory sequences. His work has been published in BMC Bioinformatics.
