Kimya Harris has been at Clark & Elbing since 2002. Her work involves patent prosecution, primarily in the fields of molecular biology and biochemistry. Kimya works with clients to protect innovations related to small molecule therapeutics for the treatment of cancer, bacterial infections, and neurological, cardiac, and immunological disorders; molecular diagnostics; regenerative therapy; and gene therapy. She also assists in the preparation of patentability and non-infringement opinions.

Kimya’s doctoral research employed cellular and molecular biology techniques to study signal transduction pathways involved in cancer. Her postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School focused on protein degradation as a mechanism for regulating oncogenes. Her research has been published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Journal of Virology.
