Laura Marcotte joined Clark & Elbing in 2007. Her work involves patent prosecution and opinion work, primarily in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, and structural biology.

Laura’s doctoral research at Harvard Medical School under the direction of Professor Jim Hogle was multidisciplinary, spanning the fields of X-ray crystallography, protein biochemistry, and virology. Her doctoral research employed X-ray crystallography to study the structure of poliovirus proteins. Her research has been published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Journal of Virology.
