Neil applies his experience in organic and medicinal chemistry to help clients develop strategic patent portfolios. He works with a range of early-stage and established biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications. He also assists with IP due diligence through the evaluation of client and competitor portfolios.
Neil’s research focused on the synthesis of biologically relevant small molecules. In his doctoral studies, he developed new synthetic methodologies for the synthesis of complex natural products from the genus Aglaia. As a medicinal chemist at Incyte, he focused on the design and synthesis of small molecules to treat cancer.
Neil is an inventor on several patents and patent applications, and has co-authored publications in several journals, including Angewandte Chemie, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Organic Letters, EBioMedicine, and Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry.
