Stuart applies his broad scientific experience to assist clients in the drafting and prosecution of patent applications. He works with start-ups, established companies, and academic institutions across a wide range of technologies.
Stuart’s doctoral research focused on the design, synthesis, and testing of organic materials for printable photovoltaics and microelectronics. His post-doctoral research at the University of Minnesota was in surface chemistry, molecular-scale electronics, and molecular self-assembly. His Master’s research project, conducted during an industrial research internship in the Netherlands, was on the synthesis of new catalysts for polymer production.
Prior to focusing on intellectual property law, Stuart applied his chemistry expertise to address challenges in the development of point-of-care diagnostic technologies in the medical device sector.
Stuart’s co-authored, peer-reviewed research is published in ACS Nano, published by the American Chemical Society.
