Technology Specialist

Overview

Yaoyu applies his research background in cancer immunotherapy, cell biology, and molecular biology to assist clients in patent drafting and prosecution.

Yaoyu’s doctoral research focused on enhancing the antitumor activity of natural killer cells, a type of immune cells with potentials in immunotherapy. He reversed the inhibitory effect of the acidic environment within tumors on these cells by genetically engineering them. Yaoyu has also performed research in cardiovascular diseases, focusing on the pathogenesis of high blood pressure.

Yaoyu is a co-inventor on a patent application related to his doctoral research and has co-authored publication in peer-reviewed journals, including Nature Communications, Antioxidants & Redox Signaling, and Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology.
